The divorce rate in the United States has fallen by 13 percent since 2000.
     I wonder if part of that is that people can't afford to get married in the first place.... ;-)

The average credit card debt is under $5,000 for the first time since 2002.
     Mine is just under this, and I'm actively chipping away at it.

Scientists have discovered that gorillas play tag.
     This I would like to see.

Maybe the divorce rate is lower because people can't afford to get divorced! That is, they can't afford to live apart and on single incomes.

In the depression here in the 1930s, people waited to get married an awful long time - eight years, in some cases.

I agree with the others on Reader's Digest, though :P
