* Thank you Dawn for your thoughtful e-card.  It lifted my spirits!

*  My friend Alexis treated me to a lovely day of pampering and retail therapy.  It's nice to have people who care about you - I think we get along so well because we are both loners looking for more meaning out of life.  That and we both like asian supermarket food!! :-)

*  Here's my booty from Tom's (or was that Tim's....) market in San Antonio.  Man, that place is impressive China, Korea, Japan - and Noh spice mixes from Hawaii.  What's not to love?

Clockwise from left:
China White Tea
Shitake Spinach Ramen
Vegetarian Soup Mix
Dofu Dessert (It's agar agar based)
Pickled Vegetables (but Alexis and I really each got one for the cool crock it came in)
Mixed Herb Tea (Green tea, peppermint, citron, plantain, agrimony)
Mixed Grain Pasta (oat, rice, wheat, etc. - not sure what makes it turn a purplish brown...)
Then an assortment of agar agar dessert mixes.
I also bought Lychee soda, Canned Lychee fruit, and Lychee Agar cups which I'd already put in the fridge.

That sounds like a place Andre would love. He loves shopping at the Asian markets like that. Course...he's Asian so that's hardly a surprise but still....hehehe.

Oh yeah... I forgot. This was the Spa I went to in England since we where talking snooty! I took the pictures in B&W because I thought it made the pictures look more gothic.

I found that product online - it's TENDSKIN (rather than tenskin). It's pricy. I bought the nobump at Sallys because that the only thing they had. Price per oz the same as the barber supply, but it was half the size (and a litle dab'l doya). I'll get the tendskin from drugstore.com next time)

I love seeing your interesting groceries and think it's so cute how you take pictures of everything! The wrappers are so colorful and pretty in Oriental stores. Yes, I'm very lucky. I wish we could spend more time together - we're both working all the time etc., and Alexis lives in San Antonio which is kind of far away.

Do you have an asian grocery near you? I used to buy online until I discovered the stores in my area.

We have a couple of small Indian groceries with all kinds of stuff. It's fun... I'm sure there's an Oriental store in Albuquerque (2+ hours) but not sure about Santa Fe, where we usually go for Trader Joes, nurseries, etc every few weeks. I need to check that out...

It did have some places that felt a little creepy. Maybe it was haunted. Mostly it was on the massive stairways going to the rooms. I kept waiting for the knight in armour to start chasing me.

I hope it works for you. The only problem I have after a wax is I break out.
