I plan to cross them off as I go and write an entry each time.  I don't know if I can do them all, but I'm going to try.  The purpose is to encourage myself to get out and do stuff as I spend way too much time in the garden and puttering around the property when I should be mingling with other humans.... :-)

SUGGESTIONS IN REPLIES
dalthauser: (Default)

I'm limiting myself this year to 4 because I plan to take them seriously this year...... seriously.... :-)

I have three - I just need the 4th.

1.)  Lose 24 pounds  -  Okay, I have more than that to lose - but I'm GOING to lose those 24.  That's 2 pounds a month - I have to be able to manage that right??  :-)

2.)  Get a Social Life - In order to make this resolution clearly defined I will have gotten a social life when I meet 6 new IRL friends (male or female) outside of work by the end of the year.  That's one new friend every 2 months.

3.)  Find a "Better" Job -  My current job is okay, but it's not what I want to do (right livelihood) and I need to be spending those 40 hours a week on something that adds to my fulfillment in life.  My current job is so not that.  This will be challenge because I have to make a minimum amount of income in order to pay the mortgage etc.  While working at Maldonado's Nursery or as a cook at Green's Restaurant would definitely add to my happiness - sadly, neither would even come close to paying the bills.

Anyone have a suggestion for the 4th?

(somebody may have noticed that I didn't put in the "get off soda" resolution.  I tried it, and it physically hurt.  I'll work on that when I'm thinner and have friends who can support me through withdrawals.... :-)  )

No pictures to share today.  After clearing my head last night at work (see diary entry yesterday), I got home and brought in the bad mower battery.  I noticed the chambers were not filled all the way with water, so I filled them up and tried to put it on the charger again.  It didn't fault and began charging.  This morning it was fully charged.  I'll test it when I get home from work (crossing fingers).
