I spent most of today in Austin visiting with my cousins and their spouses.  My cousing Mellie lives in Austin, and my other cousin Marci was visiting her (she lives in Arizona).  Mellie has a beautiful new home - I was really very impressed.  They turned one of the bedrooms into a spa room complete with a sauna and a lounging area - awesome!  This is the first time I've met Marci and only the second time (I remember) meeting Mellie. They are both so great - classy and funny and down-to-earth.  I really enjoyed their company.  
One thing I did notice is how thin they are..... I share half their genes....what happened?? :-)

Hahaha - yep, 5'2" here too. I just kid around; I'm pretty at peace with my fat - though, for health reasons, I've been trying to slim down a little.

Ah thanks. I love to put a face with a name whenever possible too. In the internet world a lot of people are so careful with their identity etc., so I can understand that. I have no problems with that - but I rarely take pics because, to be honest - I'm just not that photogenic! (but I'm funny and have a good personality...hahaha).

You're sweet - thank you!. I really did have a good time. I didn't grow up with extended family since my father was in the military and we moved around and finally settled in a place where no family lived (Hawaii). Re-connecting is very important to me even if it is slightly awkward right now.

The lives of families in the military fascinates me. Not like, oh wow! that's so cool fascination, but more like how the hell do they do it?! fascination.

It's nice that you are able to get in touch with them now & rekindle the relationships. :)
