Been down in the dumps the last several days.  Not sure why; there's nothing particularly wrong.  I forced myself to go to the Pet Chicken's of Texas club party in San Marcos yesterday.  It was nice to get away - and the everyone was very nice, very real - I liked them a lot.  I even scored a new gate for my coop (the previous one I made with a slab of plywood - and it was already beginning to warp badly).

Today the plan was to hang out with my friend Bea.  Got stood up - apparently her kids showed up unexpectedly last night.  No biggie though - I wanted to see the new Indiana Jones movie, so that was my outing.  It was worth paying Matinee prices to see - since I gave myself plenty of slack timewise I was able to stop off at CVS and get a bag of cheetos and a bottle of green tea instead of paying $$$$$ for the theater crap.  This is a great summer for the kind of movies I like. First there was Ironman - now Indiana Jones.  Next up Hancock and Batman: Dark Knight.  I usually rarely go to the movies, but these I have to see on the big screen (well, maybe not Hancock).  Get Smart, the new Narnia movie, and Speedracer, etc. I'll rent from RedBox.

Tomorrow I go to my new cousins in Austin.  I really don't feel up to it, but I'm going to do it and like it because I get to meet my other cousin Marcie who is visiting Melly.  Ack! the gas money - but it's not something I do often.

Hopefully I'll get myself out of this funk.  It sucks.

Sorry to hear you're feeling pew pew... Actually I've been kind at the bottom of the barrel myself... Absolutely no reason just tired and doing comfort eating. Then I get to feeling blobby.

Anyway, I didn't know you were in the San Marcos area. We considered moving to that Dripping Springs area years ago.. really nice area. Jack lived in College Station before I met him and he did the Permaculture Institute there at Cross Timbers.

Anyway, I really hope you feel better and that your trip to Austin is fun and you have a very happy time... Good for you that you went to a movie!

I think that it is easy to get in a funk as the seasons change, it is like a period of adjustment, or at least that is the way it is for me. I hope your funk lifts soon.

Sorry about the funk, hope it works though.

We saw "Indy" glad to see, now i forgot her name, "Marion" back. I liked the movie well enough, though Kate Blanchett reminded me to much of Natasha on Bulwinkle. Toward the end the effects and stunts got out of hand but the actioin wasn't bad.

Sorry to hear your are feeling down in the dumps for no reason, and I hope you're feeling better soon!

Also,I hope your meeting with your cousins turns out to be a lovely time. Relatives can often seem to be a chore until something happens, and then you realise you value them :) Plus your curiosity can be assuaged :)

I've been feeling kind of in a funk lately too. Maybe you have the right idea about getting out, I think I'll try to catch a few movies, Harrison Ford could always put a smile on my face.
