My mom sent me a compost bin.  I've explained to her before that I have the "farmer style" compost piles, but she really seems to want me to have a household model.  Hey, I will play with it - might be nice to have it in the backyard close to the house.

Here it is after the ups guy came

Here it is after I finally figured out how to put it together

I am on the March of Dimes Team  again this year for my work.  Man, I hate looking at pictures of me - I'm so fat!! hahaha  (and, of course, I squat down so my legs look as huge as possible....).

I was feeling goofy in the garden, so I made me a Salad Bouquet

Another reason why I should seriously consider buying stock in Home Depot

Thank you :-)

I'm working on my self-loathing. Last week I got the audiobook The 4 Day Win which is really all about reprogramming your brain to stop sabataging yourself. I already see a difference. Whether I get slimmer remains to be seen.

That looks like a nifty compost bin. The last time I had one we built it out of chicken wire. A nice neighbor called the county on us, and while there wasn't anything illegal with what we had, I dismantled it and planted a rose bush over it. Apparently people complain a lot to the county officials over really stupid things.

Shame on them! You can really make a difference with a compost bin. Keeps so much out of the landfills. I saw the one I have at Amazon.com for $49.99 with free shipping. It's very sturdy and isn't an eyesore. My first one was chicken wire too. My current one is made from cinder blocks. Your neighbors would HATE me! :-)

Hear your beautiful inner voice that says - Woman, are you talented or what! Check out that green thumb, fine mind and wonderful sense of mindful purpose.

It's hard work to ignore the mean voice, heavens knows we all have that rotten voice - I hate mine and I work on this everyday too.

You rock.

Aww thank you - it's a relief to see that other people struggle with those feelings too.

We had a compost bin in CA and MD- everything went into it. I'm not sure why we didn't make one here in VA. Great pics and I think you look great. I do March of Dimes work- I'm one of those who sends out the letters to my neighbors. I do that and the Am Lung Association. And if you are seriously thinking of buying stock in Home Depot- now might be a good time. It has tanked recently and should probably start to go back up again. If all the stores are like the one around here, I know why it tanked. No one knows anything and nothing is in the correct storage bins. (worth keeping an eye on at least)

The local Home Depot here is not too bad. Lowes - now that's another story. Our Lowe's customer service is shameful. I really wish I could afford to buy stock. I'm pretty much paycheck to paycheck these days - but hanging in there :-)

I wish I could be half as active and social as you. I see you doing all this stuff, putting together compost bins and I can't figure out how to assemble a four piece loveseat...I swear. I'd love to have half your energy and talent.

That's nice of you to say that :)

I tried putting together one of those Futon couches before. My daughter still teases me about it. Whenever I'm going to buy furniture she's like "just make sure no assembly is required" :-)

Ahh, thanks for the composter Mom! I never took a picture inside Home Depot before; maybe a whole new genre!

I don't know why I did it. I was standing in line and thinking - "The story of my life is on this cart - how sad". :-)

I would have gotten very excited about an air compressor as a gift ..... pathetic isn't it? hahaha
