Friday Random Thoughts

*  Yesterday I missed the "monologue" of the Regis & Kelly show because  bush wanted us all to witness his chastising congress. That petty little man annoys me ever so much - especially when he interferes with my AM routine.

*  I've given away the last of my sweets.  This year I made two new items that I will continue to make - Sahlah's Brown Sugar Cookies, and Coffee Fudge.  I think I could market the fudge to Starbucks...... seriously.

*  I'm going to be alone this Christmas Eve and Day - since I don't have home net access - no web either.  It kind of sucks; but then again not.  I wish I had family or a mate to share my life with - but it doesn't make me sad or lessen my life any.  It would be icing on the cake - but the cake itself is damn good. :-)

*  My job is morphing into what's looking more and more like a telemarketing position - and I hate it.  It's beneath me, but I have to stay until I can find something else.  I wish I could elaborate, but since my net access is at work, well.......

* My father renewed my subscription to Reader's Digest and Bottomline Health for Christmas.  
This year he also added Consumer Reports!  Yay Dad!!

*  I forgot my PURSE today.  I got to work and gathered my belongings.  No purse.  First time ever to do that (though I forget my work badge necklace at least once a month..... that I write up to a Freudian slip though).

*  I brought a giant salad for lunch today that included organic spinach, lettuce, choy, and radishes - all from the garden.  My spinach alone saves me $24.00 a month ($5.99 a tub at HEB).  I wish tomatoes grew in winter.

I wish my parents/family that swaps gifts with me would give me something awesomely useful like a mag subscription. Your Dad is way cool!

There's 24 hour news channels and 24 hour politics channels. Why don't they keep that crap on there instead of interrupting normal programming? We ALL have to watch every political speech? No choice about other than turning OFF the tv? I've always hated that. Doesn't matter whether you agree with the message being broadcast or not; it's not something that should be FORCED on everyone. There's channels for that. If I care...I'll go watch those.

Blah...makes me mad too. hehehe.

I'm sorry to hear you'll be alone on xmas. Though in some ways I envy you since I could really use some alone time about now. Hehe. I hope you have a nice quiet, peaceful day.

Yes, I will give you what I started with for a recipe. It always ends up not being she same - I'll tell you what I rememer changing..... :-) Will reply back here when I bring the recipe to work.

Bush is an annoying little man. I used to be downright addicted to the Regis & Kathie Lee then Kelly monologue. Half the time I wouldn't even watch the rest of the show.

I made the easy, quick fudge this year. Did sugar cookies and will do everything on Christmas the hard way, but I am not a candy thermometer sort of girl. :)

I am with on the tomatoes in the winter. I so miss fresh tomatoes right now.

I never watch the rest of it. At 9:15am it goes to CNN and I listen to that while I dress - put makeup on - make lunch - etc. That game they do is dumb; however, the dancers are fun to watch.

I have to turn the TV off when Mr Bush comes on I get too angry :( It is silly of me to yell at the TV the poor TV didn't do anything.
