It froze this morning - 31F.  Winter's here I guess.  At least there was no rain, so the roads weren't icy on the way to work.  
I even had to go out and start my truck to get the engine warm before I drove it. 
According to weather.com it will be 70F by 3pm today.  That makes me chuckle.  
I hope my garden survived last night.  I got home so late from work I was too tired to go out and cover anything.

Oooh yeah that's goona hurt the garden. Is this unusuall to get that cold there?

I usually usa a light floating row cover when the temperatures reach freezing (doesn't happen very often). The cool weather veggies can stand most everything but a hard freeze, but I like to protect them from 32F on down.

I don't know how people in the north do it. I couldn't handle that kind of cold 24/7.

Beleive me, it gets harder every year, it was 15 this morning!

It was in the 40's last night but has gone up to in the 70's today. So I have the front door open right now. But I know it is coming and I won't be having the weather I had while still in Arizona now that I am in Tex-ass. So I am enjoying it while it lasts.
