I posted this on my Facebook, but there are a few of my LJ friends who aren't on there (I wish you'd give in already and join - haha)  I really wanted to share it because it was quite the experience for me.

The Baby Mama stopped sitting on her eggs after the first 4 hatched. I put them in the incubator (previously used only for staring seeds). Here are the video clips I took to text to my husband so he could share in the experience. I spliced this together over several hours (about 2 1/2 min of footage). The next morning, before the sun came up, I snuck her into the nest - everyone is doing just fine :-)

So cute! Is this the first batch you've raised from birth? I don't remember you having a hatch before, but my mind might be fuzzy. Is Baby Mama being a good momma?

Baby Mama was born here, but her mom hatched her. Almost exactly a year aso. Yep, she's being a good mom!

What an awesome experience to witness. Thanks for sharing it with us non-FB people. :)

The miracle of birth. So, you have chickens hatching, too. That looks like New Hampshire - very pretty!

I read in your comments that your mumma chook was born and bred at your place, so she should be a good mum.

I echo Sahlah, thanks for posting for us non-FBers!

That brings back memories of that barn they had at the Honolulu Zoo and they had that chicken incubator. The only place us city folk could see that sort of thing. :)
