I'm reading posts on my Livejournal - just been busy/distracted, so I haven't had a lot of time to post on my own and reply. Here's what new in my life.............
* I have a case of Poison Ivy/Oak/Sumac (can't figure out which it is). Miserable Miserable - however, baths in blended up oatmeal water and Calagel is keeping me sane. Marcel is going to seek out the offending plants and destroy them when he's here next week. In the future I'm going to have to be more careful.
* Since the plans have changed for the time being regarding me moving down to live with Marcel, I've decided to revisit my desire to grow and produce for the Farmer's Market. I'm busying myself with a business plan, and I hope to dip my toes into the waters this fall/winter. I'll keep my journal posted with my progress. We'll see how it goes.
* My new Garden Dump Cart has already proven to be worth the investment. I love it! I pull it along with me when I'm doing chores, and it holds all my equipment. I've also been using it to haul compost and branches etc. when I do a sweep of the property.
* I enjoyed having Tom (
texasts ) stay with me this past weekend. He traveled down to stay with Marcel a couple of days too. Hopefully he'll come back at Wurstfest time and enjoy it with us.
That's all for now. Hope everyone is doing well - and, like I said, I am reading (at least part of) all my friendslist posts - please forgive me for not commenting as much as I usually do.

That's really exciting news that you are going to start growing stuff for the Farmer's Market. You've been wanting to do something like this for a while. Good luck!

Date: 2010-08-11 05:20 pm (UTC)I probably need to do the Farmer's Market, too. SO much produce! I always weigh whether getting up so early to pick, wash, prepare & get there, set up tent, and 'maybe' result in $50-? if I'm lucky.. not sure I have that stamina and motivation! When I did do it, years ago I used to get up at 4:30 to pick and arrange flowers for the market and then only sell one. hmmmm
