This is a good idea! I have seen a local woman bringing pumpkins in the the Neighbourhood Centre. They also have their own community garden. If I have surplus in the future, I am definitely taking it there. Good on that man for doing what he has done.

The local pee-patch in Edmonds has several plots designated for the food bank too. They give a free plot to children too. I've heard of a campaign here to grow an extra row just for the food bank.

Gosh we are so blessed and it's so simple to share.

Thanks for the link. I liked that story very much. Do you have Gleaners near you? We have many here in Washington to pick the surplus fruit trees. Sometimes they come into neighborhoods looking for unpicked fruit trees.
