I think it's begun.....................

Over the past 6 months it's kind of creeped up on me.  The individual symptoms were so subtle - I didn't put two and two together.  Marcel was the one who mentioned the possiblity, and I was like "Oh?....Oh....Ohhhhh!!!! Yeah, I see how it could be that".

I have a doctors appointment for a yearly checkup tomorrow, and I'll ask him for help.  Mostly to see what I can do about the mood swings and melancholy episodes - those have really been throwing me for a loop.  Might not mind going to a therapist if I can afford it - I have some personal issues I'd like some professional help with anyway (nothing serious - mostly putting things in perspective type of stuff).

So exciting - I'm entering a new period of my life!
(speaking of periods..... will be overjoyed not to have those anymore - been looking forward to that for a LONG time) :-)

I've heard Mayo clinics are very good, so I hope you have success with them. And good luck with perimenopause! I didn't really have mood swings, but then, I didn't get PMT either. But I DID get flooding. Apparently homeopaths can help you with that.

I have been wondering the same about me for a while. Like you say, the symptoms are subtle.

My symptoms weren't subtle at all. But, they do come and go. I haven't had a hot flash since last December. I did get my period in Feb. for the first time in months - enough months to think I was going to hit the year mark and make it official.

I am so glad I got that over with in my early 30's. I had a hysterectomy and have been much happier ever since.

The only down side to it all was having to wax 10 years later!

Oh my goodness! It's spreading. :) I think if you cross your eyes and go around a chair three times all will be fine. Or is that the cure for warts? Hmmmmmm.

We're in the same boat it seems. Only, I can't tell my bi-polar moods from my perimenopoausal moods. So, consider yourself one up on me :)
