Weekend Update & Stuff

Spent the weekend with Marcel.  Helped him in the restaurant, but it wasn't as busy as we thought it was going to be.  We had fun together -  I really like him so much - if I wasn't married to him I'd totally have a crush on him ;-)

We were thrilled to see Health Care Reform take another step in the right direction.  I was listening to a Michael Moore interview on the Diane Rehm show podcast over the weekend.  I feel how he does - not nearly enough (and the insurance companies are getting it handed to them on a platter) - but, if that's the only way to move forward - then it has to be this way. 

Driving home to New Braunfels this morning I was delighted by the Blue Bonnets lining the highway.  Just thrilling to see all the color of the Bonnets and the other wildflowers.

I listened to 2 hours of Indie Feed Pop Music podcast - found two gems. 
Am I the only freak who falls completely in love with songs for no reason?
Here they are - I bought them on iTunes and added them to the library as soon as I got in the door at home.

On a sad note - - there was a freeze while I was gone - and my potatoes, peppers, and tomatoes got hit.

Every
Year
I'm telling you - I could plant tomatoes in June and, sure enough, a Freak freeze will come through and ruin my crop.

I'm glad about health reform, but don't feel it went far enough. Too much conservative concessions in there, I don't really understand them complaining. But whatever. Watching the politician shenanegans ever since Obama was elected, has just made me sick. I think children could get more done.

yep - though they didn't get it as bad as the rest. Marcel is buying new maters and peppers today on his way up. We'll plant them tomorrow.
