* Marcel is still in Germany. He calls me twice a day like usual. I really love that he is so attentive (even when he woke me up at 5am because he didn't do the time difference math right). He comes home Sunday - we're both going to be glad. He was ordered to take a ton of pictures. We're going to start an online family album. We plan to share. :-)
* Working on the Restaurant Webpage using Microsoft live business pages online. Ugh - I suck at this, and the hosting service is very limited. At least I can get the content in - then beg for help when I have someone who can manipulate what is already there.
* Sunday I finally got the outdoor xmas decorations taken down - all Christmas stuff boxed and sealed and stored in the attic.
* I started my slim down journey Thursday. This morning I weighed in - lost 3 pounds. Yay, but I'm fully aware about the whole losing water first thing. I'm using the food pyramid to guide me, and I'm trying not to count calories. I'm also commited to burning 200 calories a day (which may go up because that's pretty easy to do). Discovered a Podcast called Yell At Your Fat. Funny stuff - and strangely motivating.
* The garden is struggling to revive itself after all the freezing weather we've had. Even the Collard Greens took a beating.
That's all for now :-)

That will be a relief when Marcel gets back. Next time he has to take you with him!

Sorry about your winter garden getting nipped. My greenhouse greens never really grew much all winter when usually I have greens galore. Planting seeds today towards the spring garden!

Date: 2010-01-22 01:36 am (UTC)As I get older my weight becomes more of an issue for me. I've always struggled, but now I believe my health and quality of life are beginning to suffer due to the extra pounds. For one though - my physical appearance is not the issue for me wanting to slim down. I think this is because my husband smothers me with love and acceptance - God love him.
