So, my new years resolution is to get down to a reasonably healthy weight by 2011. This involves shedding, at least 50 pounds (I actually need to lose closer to 80....I know, tubby Veggie) :-)
I can't seem to get started. I am constantly eating - always hungry - making all the wrong food choices.
I need some direction, motivation, inspiration.......
I looked around at the diets and programs out there, and they are all too restrictive. I even went to the usda food pyramid site - and that's almost doable except it's uninspiring.
I'm thinking I might do something silly and put myself in the goofy hands of Richard Simmons and his Food Mover Program.
Must pull myself together and get a plan - and execute it soon, or I have no chance of meeting my year end goal.

Date: 2010-01-13 02:02 am (UTC)When I'm more busy than usual and have to go long stretches without eating I eat proteins to keep me going longer. Eggs baby! Oh yeah. Egg whites are low in calories and keep you going.
Right now I eat oatmeal with fruit, juice and coffee in the mornings, a baked potato for lunch, toast and laughing cow soft cheese for a snack, then an Amy's frozen dinner.
Last week I ate soup and salad instead of the potato.
I usually loose a pound a week like that. So far I lost 19 pounds.
Besides it's easier to maintain after coming off the diet because you're not changing from someone else's system. You will still eat the foods you like.
I go by the height, weight, calories ratio.

Hope this helps you.
