Sep. 17th, 2009 12:07 pmSystem Security version 4.52 - - Triple Ugh. At 1:30am Sierra is knocking on my bedroom door complaining about a virus that is claiming it's about to blow up the computer. I drag myself out of bed - sure enough - something has invaded the PC. It makes itself look like an anti virus/spam software and sends out pop-ups saying the computer is infected etc. etc. - it even changes your wallpaper to one that reads something like "YOUR COMPUTER IS INFECTED!!!! ---- YOU WILL INFECT THE WORLD IF YOU DON'T STOP IT NOW". Jeezzzzz-us. It was a brat to get rid of because it blocks .exe files. I had to reboot in safe mode in order to run the detection software. Needless to say - I hadn't gotten around to installing security stuff on this new computer yet. Gah.
Yesterday Marcel & I went Nursery Hopping in Austin. We had fun looking around and getting familiar with the various shops. To be honest - none of them bowled me over, but The Natural Gardener (that I've been to before) was pretty cool. I picked up a Patchouli plant, Spearmint, and English Thyme. We also decided on Fire Bushes for our fenceline.
