I'm currently sick and tired of the venom spewing out of the mouths of the Fox News watching so called "conservative" morons over this Healthcare issue.

They go on and on about socialism, death panels, taking care of the illegals (the horror!), and Hitler (did Hitler have a health care plan? I missed that section in history class) - but not one is yelling out an alternative to what they disagree with.

Honestly - I think a healthy percentage of them are just Obama Haters who don't want the democrats to win the kind of huge victory that implementing Healthcare Reform would bring.  I don't think they will be satisfied with ANY VERSION of Healthcare Reform (unless Fox News endorses it first - which would be when hell freezes over)

Just sayin......

It's boggles the mind. I've said before, this issue about rationing; people are so worried about losing their healthcare; but the 50 million who have none - not their problem.

well said- I don't watch Fox news as all they do spread ridiculous statements. (I love to watch Jon Stewart's Daily Show when he does his split screen - having them say one thing and then show a clip of them saying something else.)

I haven't been watching the news. It's embarassing on one hand, but then I'm glad I live in a country that can openly debate this. I'll be happier in this country when there is an equalized health care opportunity.

I think it is a few (25%?)that are making a lot of noise. I think pro-reformers might be taking the reforms for granted and thus are a bit quieter, and I hope this isn't a detriment to the cause. But at least they are being civil!

I don't mean to imply that liberals are more intelligent, well-rounded, worldly, coherent, forward thinking, even-tempered, wait..... I do mean to imply that. ;-)

Seriously though - I'm all for debating the issue (where are Oprah or Anderson Cooper?). I can't believe that VH1 or MTV aren't making a reality show where half the house is liberal and half is conservative and they win a trip to the Bahamas if they can agree on a health care plan for the country before labor day.

Hmmmm.... I like that reality show - you should pitch it to someone!

Did I ever tell you about the fight I had with an insurance company because they didn't want to cover my "well woman exam" because they claimed it was a pre-existing condition?

I saw one commentator on fox news offer the republicans healthcare alternative and I had to laugh. What BS. If they get in power again, they'll be more pressing matters than healthcare...like the war, guns and illegal aliens.

Honestly - I will be satisfied with insurance reform. The government absolutely has to step in at LEAST in this area. They have that type of situation in Germany - multiple insurance companies to choose from; however, they don't run amuck and make any policy they want at the expense of people's health. The government sets some standards and rules they have to play by (wow, imagine that.....) ;-)

Yes, I know - how boring it must be for the republicans right now - no bloodlust or kicking illegal immigrants around. They probably have to resort to renting patriotic movies like Full Metal Jacket and episodes of The Sopranos to get them through their evenings.

Where are you hearing this stuff? Are you reading it? I ask because I'm not really exposed to it at all... I mean I was aware of it at first when they were having the Town Hall meetings, but I haven't heard too much lately. I don't watch 24 hour news channels - do you?

I check in at cnn.com and foxnews.com (fox only because I like to see their spin even though I probably don't agree with it). I also watch the nightly local news. (and I'm not too proud to admit that I watch The Daily Show and The Colbert Report religiously - haha).

Oh yeah, and I'm surrounded my uber conservative, fox news watching, bible thumping zealots who obviously have never asked "what would Jesus do" when it comes to loving your neighbor.

Sorry.....I get spun up on this issue (and the immigration issue)

I have a Yahoo! start page on which I've added AP and other news wire headlines - this is where I get most of my news. I also watch the local Atlanta news, most days, and the CBS national news, out of habit mostly.

I think you should be very proud to watch "The Daily Show" and "The Colbert Report" - they are the most trusted names in news!! I try to watch, but I have trouble staying up that late, and the repeats the following nights are on when I watch other programming, so I generally miss both. Seems like only yesterday I had no problem staying up until midnight. Sad.

I still can't get into watching television online - I do it when I miss taping a "Guiding Light", but I'd never want to make a habit of it. I'm old skool when it comes to TV - it's about the set - you watch TV on a TV set. :)

maybe if you made a pair of rabbit ears out of wire and tin foil and set it on top of the monitor..... ;-)

(Guiding Light as in soap opera? - wow, I never would have thunk it)

Never would have thunk "GL" is online, or never would have thunk I watch "GL"? I write here about catching up on my "GL" all the time. I tape it all week and usually watch it on weekends, but it goes off the air in two weeks!!

Thankfully we lost the Fox network when everyone went from analog to digital TV, the only thing we miss is watching the Simpsons.

But in the end it's a nice trade off ;)
