Marcel and I are moving the chickens out of the backyard.  Right now we are digging the trench where the chicken yard fence will be buried in.  With our rocky/clay dire - it's really not fun.  So much to do with this project - I hope we can have it completely finished by spring.


Here is the first Asparagus bean!!!!! 
I thought this picture was kind of cool too (in a strange way - doesn't it kind of look like an alien sticking out its tongue?)

That area in the picture is the 2nd third of the property where the garden, compost bin, and fruit trees are.

It does look like an alien poking out it's tongue. I have never heard of them before :)

Not the whole thing, but we are planning to "cage in" the shed part of it which is fairly large. That way we can confine them at night when there is the biggest risk from predators.
