We took the liberty of making two icings - the trim icing is just the "instant" fluffy whip icing you whip with boiling water (except we used strong coffee) - gave it a cafe au lait color and (I don't think) distracted from the main icing. The inscription and dots were made with black decorator gel from Wilton. The sides are just crumbs we made from the pieces marcel trimmed to level the cake. (you don't have to say it - - I write like a 5 year old) :-)
Marcel promised to freeze a slice so I can taste it next week (hope he doesn't forget)
