Braised Dick

This morning, after I'd just woken up, I was reading from Saveur magazine waiting for coffee to brew. 

Browsing the pages my curiosity went into overtime at a recipe titled "Braised Dick" - I put my reading glasses on and looked again....

"Braised Duck" - I cracked up laughing right there in the livingroom all by myself.  Made my day, and it didn't cost a dime :-)

I love when I misread things sometimes. Like the new tanning salon that opened up in town. I thought "boy, they believe in truth in advertising" as I read their name to be "Cancer Tropics" ... it really is "Cancun Tropics".

I drove by a storefront in Corpus Christi called "The House of Pain" - naturally (due to my dark nature) I was imagining leather, masks, and whips. Come to find out it's just a Chriopractors office. (darn!) ;-)
