Little Update

dalthauser* Marcel and I had a nice "weekend". Checked out San Antonio Botanical Gardens. We were so impressed! After we had lunch at their cafe. Good food too! That evening we grilled kabobs for dinner - then layed on the couch and read until it was time to go to bed. Perfect day - I feel so lucky sometimes.
* My Online Magazine Scrapbook project continues. This morning I did a bunch of entries for March 2009. Pretty soon I will be caught up to date - then I'll add as I go. This is kind of fun, and it's nice to re-visit all the clippings I saved through the years.
* Saturday I'm going to the Texas Folklife Festival with my friend Bea.
* Next week I go to the coast to stay with Marcel. It's a three hour drive between us, so I don't visit him as much as he visits me (hate to drive). I changed my schedule so I can be off at 6:30pm instead of 9pm - that way I can get there in time for him to make me dinner!! :-)
* I've been perpetually broke these days, and my credit card is the highest it's ever been - - the economy is really socking it to me. I've even considered selling some of my Japanese collectables. Honestly, it would be nice if Sierra would contribute monetarily, but I know she has her own issues right now without having that on her as well. I will have to stay in ultra-frugal mode for a little while now to get my debts paid off. I should be okay by the end of the year if I am diligent. Earlier if I give in and sell a few things (it's only material possessions - I keep telling myself....haha).
* Speaking of Sierra - she is working at Schlitterbahn and doing okay. Soon she'll need to look for a new job because the park job is only for the summer. Let's hope she's not unemployed too long between jobs.
