Tree Removal Done - Yay.
Oct. 11th, 2007 10:48 amI'm kicking myself for not having a "before" picture of the tree, but here is the stump after it was removed. It was a big ass tree with thick heavy branches that towered over my house. Very scary. The picture somehow makes the stump look small, but it's actually quite huge. I had it and a smaller tree, which was all but dead and leaning in the direction of my garage, removed. The lowest bid I got for the work was $900. They did a great job, and they also took away all the tree limbs I'd had piled against the fence from pruning.
I made an aquaintance of the man who did the work. He is going to bring me shredded tree mulch until I tell him to stop. Yay - this is awesome to me. I need to remember to call him and tell him to dump it in the "back 40" and not in my vegetable garden....
So, it was a minor financial "hardship" - but I feel elated that I took action on something costing a large chunk of money that was technically optional. Maybe my Bach Flower program is working. Time will tell :-) Next up - replacing the siding on the sheep side of the house. Will need to delay at least until I can get the $900 paid off.
