I spent most of my weekend working around the house, and preparing for the visit from My German (no, I don't own him - I just like sayin' it).  Sierra didn't help me, but she kind of managed not to undo the things I did.

At work our department recently got relocated to a different section of the building.  I laughed - my work is a lot like the movie Office Space (only less amusing).  During the move I kept thinking of the eccentric guy with his stapler and how they kept moving him until he was finally in the storage room :-)

I have nothing else to say right now :-)

Did you get to keep your stapler? Is it red?

That movie was so funny.... I hope Wednesday is all you hope for & MORE! Have fun... Are you cooking a majorly wonderful meal?!

No job for Sierra yet? What about waitressing? Or grocery checker? Is there a Jamba Juice around?

I guess with her guy there she didn't really do much towards finding something. Is she ok with him leaving? that must be hard!

I can't decide whether to eat a light lunch at a restaurant in Gruene and then fix him something before he leaves in the afternoo - or - have a bento picnic lunch at Landa park and he can eat again when he gets home in the early evening.

Either way I'm preparing:

Summer Noodles (this is cold somen noodles with various toppings on the side and a cold dippping broth)

Daikon & Cucumber Tsukemono (basically veggies in a pickle like marinade)

Nori Maki Sushi (Shrimp/Veg, Tempeh/Veg)

"Cone" Sushi (Japnese name Inari Sushi)

Miso soup with Tofu/green onion / baby spinach garnish

Gyoza with pork(organic) & vegetables (mostly organic)
(if we did the picnic - no gyoze or soup since it has to be hot)

This sounds a little fancy, but it's super easy - all of it.

O... M... G... That sounds totally amazing!!! He may have to open a Japanese corner in his restaurant :) No way do you need to go out to eat with this kind of a feast!

lol - I don't think so.

This time tomorrow I'm going to be a nervous wreck. I just hope I can sleep Tuesday night. He will drive a long way - I want to make sure he has a nice day.

You've been moving, too! Hard work! And then housework, eeew! At least Sierra didn't undo what you did.

Have a good day on Wednesday, and rather than stress out you could look forward to it! (I know, I wouldn't be sleeping either :-) )

Yummy food!
