Oops......

I think I forgot to feed my chickens today :-(
I usually fill their feed bowl, water, and sprinkle scratch all around the yard the night before - so they can wake up to breakfast and have scratch to hunt down all day long. 
Tonight I was following my routine and, for the first time ever, the chickens start coming out of their coop in the dark (well, I had the porch light on).  They went right to the food.  
I feel awful!!  I must have been so wrapped up in myself I neglected them.
That won't happen again - they are still outside, and I have to leave the light on because if I turn it out it's completely dark and they won't be able to find their way back into the coop.  Hope they will get tired and go back to bed soon.

Fortunately, chickens can handle all of the above. We wish we humans could be as resiliant! No problem.. they'll be fine.. and so will you!
