* Morning Walk  43 minutes.  I think the batteries are dying in either the transmitter or receiver of my monitor because the heart rate readings it's giving out are odd.  I'll have to see who can replace them.  I listened to my last Daily Buddhism podcast.  They are sounding too much like church, and I prefer Zencast and Daily Dharma anyway.  Today I decided I'd take advantage of the thigh pockets of my cargo shorts and collect aluminum cans during my walk.  Today I got five.

* Yesterday's job melt down is behind me, but it did cause me to wake up a little about my work life.  I don't think I've ever had such an unfullfilling and demoralizing job before.  There is nothing here that is helping me on my path, and I think the nature of the job is actually hindering me.  I've kept it because I'm afraid not to have the security of a steady paycheck and benefits.  I'm definitely going to be working on my resume beginning this weekend.  I have to overcome my fears and find something more suitable to me.

* There is officially a P3 & P4.  Why does this seem to happen in twos?

*  My chickens have Avian Pox.  Most are broken out with black spots on their combs and face.  It was alarming!  I rushed to the internet to do research.  It's a virus that usually comes from mosquitos.  It's much like our Chicken Pox in that they will have some fever and breakout - then in a few weeks they will recover and be immune.  This was a relief.

I am so glad the chickens will recover.

Remember if you change your mind about commuting there is Humana Insurance where Shawn works. He is sure he can get you in there. They treat us really good. It's also a secure job because it's medical related.

If you want I can ask him which departments have openings and the kind of work they do in the departments. I know one is just checking on policies and benefits nationwide. I also know they need to hire more people because they are yet again expanding.

Let me know what you think.

Thank you for the offer Alexis - you are a good friend, and I may take you up on it in the future. I'd like to try and find something in NB for as short of commute as possible. I may eventually look further away - depending on the situation.

Once I get my resume fully updated I will feel a little more self-confident. I need to really discipline myself to get it done.

How strange. It's a wonder they don't call chickens with avian pox, human pox. Or something. ;-) I hope they're feeling better soon. Poor chickies.

I'm with you on the job thing. I was hit in the face with the realization that I NEED to do something now rather than later today during my lunch break, when visited by a long lost client of old. It's interesting when things/people are thrust in your life to shake up your way of thinking a bit. I hate to pass up that open window, ya know? Good luck with the resume and the job exploration!!

I hear you on the job front, it serves it's purpose for the moment; especially with the econmoy as it is.

Hope your chickens will be fine.

They are eating okay. I haven't played with them since Sunday. By the time I get home at night they are asleep. During the day before I leave for work I only have time to feed them and check to see nobody is hurt and they are safe (ie no broken fences etc.)
