Morning Walk: 41 minutes / 315 calories / 124 avghbpm Podcast: Zencast #156 Appreciating What Is There
Bowing To Teacup: During my podcast there was a story of a monk who bowed to his teacup. How strange it might seem at first to give reverence to an inanimate object. Then when you think how the cup gives you needed fluid, and how there are people who wash the cup, and the person who made the cup, the materials from nature that the cup is made from, etc.etc. all of a sudden it seems perfectly natural to bow to the cup and show your appreciation.

Date: 2008-10-10 04:50 pm (UTC)I have not been exercising, and go figure, all the problems that went away while I was exercising regularly? They're all back now. But my motivation level is low... I guess I should get back on sparkpeople...
I think I need to hear that podcast on appreciation. I know someone else who should probably listen to it, too, but I don't know if she is "ready" to be accepting of it, you know?
