My wireless net access is down at home right now. Not entirely sure why, but here is what happened......

Everything was just fine.... then I was in iTunes synching my Ipod and it froze (this happens occasionally in iTunes for me).

I had to turn off my computer from the power source and let it come back.  No connection.

Then the system managed to find my wireless source (my neighbor) but the connection was crippled and almost non-existant.

When I returned home last night - no connection no matter what I did.

Same thing today.  I'm going to ask my neighbor for help Saturday or Sunday (hopefully he's going to be home), but until then I'm out of luck.
I'm pretty sure this is my system and not his because everything was fine until my iTunes crashed.

This isn't the biggest of deals as I went over a year without at home access, but I will miss not being able to update my Podcasts etc.

My wireless access at uni had died. I think they might have an automatic time out. So it's back to the IT guys there...

What a pity you won't be able to listen to your music you so much enjoy...I can see that some of it is upbeat in a gentle way that would get you walking...

But I'm glad that you can live with out it and find other stuff to do. You are a self-sufficient creative person!

I came home and decided I'd tinker. I powered the pc down and disconnected everything. Removed the wireless card and moved it to another slot. Then I re-intalled it (I didn't know you had to just to move it). Works like a charm.

Hindsight - I may have only needed to reinstall a driver or something, but I know nothing of tech stuff - all is by the seat of my shorts (with a prayer I don't do any permanent damage).

That's good. You are amazing with do-it-yourself.

I have landline at home, I don't use the wireless much at uni, so I will leave it up to the IT guys :) They are very nice and helpful. I will only do it if I take the laptop to uni, AND I carry the heavy thing all the way to the library. Last time I just used it in the car, and the battery held up for once :)
