I want to try making an edited video. Some of my LJ friends do video with sound and fast motion / slow motion etc. I love the chickens - I never thought they'd be so entertaining and fun.

LOL I love your videos. My Sweetie is envious I think he would have his own chickens if he could, we're not allowed in this neighborhood.
What kind of chickens are they?

They are Delawares. It's an heirloom breed. Originally they were a cross between Barred Rocks and New Hamshires. I chose them because they are known for being hearty and good natured. Just like me :-)

Yes, they have no fear unless I'm carrying a plastic shopping bag - if they hear it crumple they run for the hills. BOKKKK BOK BOK!!!!! LoL

Each of my roosters used to make that noise Rood did whenever his girls were fighting and he wanted to break them up. I take it as a warning sound for his 'girls'. He probably didn't like you having your camera pointing at them. You probably knew all that that already.

I can tell it's hot - your chooks are panting!

And one jumped up on you! I hope Roo didn't attack!

He didn't, but I'm cautious. We're establishing our relationship still. He doesn't routinely challenge me anymore, but he does still get uppity when the hens and I interact. He's getting over it probably because he knows all he'll get out of a challenge is picked up and hugged until he gives up :-)
