*  When spring began I found these awesome 4 1/2 foot high lamps at Hobby Lobby.  I thought - "Niceeeee" but they were $159.00 each, so that was out of the question.  One Saturday driving home from work I thought I'd just pop in to Hobby Lobby and get cooled off with their A/C.  They had those same lanterns on sale for $54.00 each!!! There were only a couple left, and I grabbed them without thinking.  I felt very accomplished that I made such a score!  I put them in my bedroom.

* I finally got to hang out with one of my LJ friends who lives near me.  She's as much like me as not, and she challenges my thinking.  I hope we will be good friends.  She's a pretty private (one of the unlike me things....), so I didn't take my camera with me on our outing.

* I've gotten in the habit of brewing sun tea twice a week.  Here is black tea w/lavender, black tea w/mint, Yerba Matte, and Green Tea.

* I never use my back bathroom, but I'm slowly working on fixing it up.  I went to clean the sink and saw this.  I laughed when I saw it and for some weird reason thought of the movie Jumangi.

* View from my kitchen window

Those lamps are very cool :)

SUN tea, I've never heard of that! Looks good. Mmmmm......

Heh, that reminds me of Jumangi, too. Once, over a very wet, warm period in the early 70s (now we're going back a bit) my mother-in-law had toadstools spring up in her bathroom! We all though it was so cool! She has a wooden floor in there (still living there, and now in her eighties! I love her, never mind about her son, although other people find her a bit hard to take, including my daughters :) )

The view from your kitchen window is lovely! Just think, you created a lot of that with your gardening skills and hard work :)

Why do people find her hard to take? My mom drives my daughter completely batty, but I adore my mom - including all her idiosyncrasies.

Thank you. Every morning when I wake up and start my day I look out that window and think "man, life is g-o-o-d". I always feel fortunate even though my life is pretty "ghetto" compared to a lot of people. :)
