* I had my eye on this rooster since it arrived at Walmart in the spring at $29.95.  I picked it us last week for $15 - it might go lower, but I didn't want to take the chance and lose out. It's metal - and it is really much cooler in real life. Yeah, it's tacky - but it's my kind of tacky :-)

* I grocered today.  Odds and ends because I'm pretty stocked up.  IDK why I'm posting pictures of my groceries [profile] ember999 's habits are rubbing off on me.

.
THE COLOR CHOICES (Walls started out white with white trim)

Finished The Trim! (notice the final clor doesn't look a whole lot like the sample...)

Testing the wall color.  Ended up looking a lot like pancake batter.

Cutting in the color..............

Coat #1 Finished

All done!!
(well, I still have to hang the artwork back up)

I've had my eye on that same roster! hahaha I have another one from a few years ago I love and this one is even cooler.. ! I may have to go see how our prices here are doing here!

Your walls look soft & buttery & warm & cozy. I love your choices and the job is so well done! A woman of many talents to be sure!

Thank you! It's not perfect, but it's a big improvement over how it looked before.

Oh yeah, those peanuts are really good. I'm not fond of the honey BBQ ones though.

Glad to see you're picking up my 'posting pics' habit :) I like seeing your groceries and stuff you buy.

Diet Pepsi! OMG! Didn't you know that stuff is so toxic it causes all kinds of illnesses and problems. Not to mention it actually makes you gain weight. http://www.karlloren.com/Diabetes/p40f.htm

I am not trying to be bashing the soda. I like you and don't want anything to happen to you.

Anyway...

Since I am evil I would record Roo's crowing and other vocals and then put that fake rooster out there with the recording going to see how the Chicken Clan would react to it.

Hahaha - funny you'd say that. I did put him out there (without recording though). They pecked at him and jumped back when they heart the noise the metal made.

Yeah, I know. My cousin always reminds me how terrible the soda is. I was down to just a fill up before work without anything else - then PepsiPoints came along..... This pack is the last. I am going back to just a fill up in the morning and tea or water the rest of the day.

Haha- your grocery choices are quite similar to mine!
(organic and generic products both at once!)

Hall looks good!

I know that chicken, i wrap it with my knuckle everytime i walk by it; it is wonderfully tacky! Inside or outside the house?

You're place looks so uncluttered compared to our teenager infested place.

Haha - I cut my finger on one when I first was checking them out!

In honesty my house is as cluttered as your probably. That's just the hallway (and I'd recently painted - so everything is put back "just so"). I'm a terrible housekeeper, I have to put a lot of effort into keeping my place from looking like a bomb exploded in it.

Cool rooster! I would have bought it when you did, so as to not miss out, too.

Good job on that wall!

WOW!!! It looks beautiful. You should be very proud of yourself.
And I love the rooster.

Totally love to colors you painted. My rooms are shades of same. :) It's so warm and earthy.

The rooster is grand. I'm guessing from the comments it's lightweight. I wondered if he was a doorstop perhaps.

Don't you love how LJ habits rub off... you have me virtually owning things now with my camera! I saw a classic Mustang the other day and took the picture. My hubby said, maybe one day you can own it. "Nay" I said, "I virtually own it now and I don't have to put gas in it!"

Rock on - knowing you improves my life. Thanks.

Yay! - thanks, it's the same here. I find myself looking for the hidden beauty of things (even situations) which is your doing :-)

The rooster is going to end up in my front bedroom which I'm going to be decorating in a Southwestern Mexican theme!

Nice job on the painting! And good score on the rooster, too.

Would you like this clock?
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/soyosauce/IMGP9366.jpg

It is about 12.5" in diameter. I had it in the kitchen at our old house, but it doesn't go in the new kitchen. I just stumbled across it a couple days ago when I was going through some items in our storage room.

Ok! I will need your address obviously. I probably won't get to the post office until next week some time. :)
