* Ahhh the tide came in finally - relief in sight.

* Still awake.  I'll just stay up until bedtime to get back on schedule.

*  I bought paint to paint the bedroom yesterday.  The lighter color for the walls - the darker for the trim.  Once I got it home I saw the resemblance to vanilla and chocolate ice cream.  I decided to paint the hallway this instead.  I want to go with red or orange tones in the front bedroom instead.  If Sierra (or anyone else in my family) doesn't move here (and it's looking like that will be the case) I'm going to make that bedroom a southwestern theme.  Today I cleaned the trim good and masked the floor.

* I felt so confident after fixing the toilet that I decided to install the faucet my mom bought when she was here last.  It looked something like this:
I didn't finish it because I couldn't get the plastic attachments off that anchor the faucet to the sink - I tried everything I could think of.  So, I put it all back together the old way - and now there's next to no pressure..... argh.  I'll deal with it Wednesday.

*  Went to Papa Murphy's Pizza to pick up a pie because I'm deliriously tired and pizza sounds good.  No tomatoes due to the Salmonella thing, but I have plenty of those little buggers......  oops - I forgot to set the timer and it got a leetle too brown.

*  It was so hot today the hens were sticking their heads in the cinderblocks inside their coop to keep cool.

* Here's a picture (not the best view of him) of Roo in all his new Rooster glory.  Still isn't crowing though, and he's still a mama's boy - coo's if I pick him up and nestles his head in the crook of my arm.

Really enjoyed your picture post - the pizza looks great, the hens are so cute (I'm jealous!) and the new colours are very nice :)

That is so cute & clever.. to stay cool.. never have seen that! Your rooster is so handsome!

Part of the problem for me is when the momma hen takes care of the chicks instead of us having them in the greenhouse I don't get to handle them as much 'cause she gets nervous. I miss that but I've been so preoccupied anyway.... prolly good she's doing the job!

Your colors remind me of the adobes here... I always go for the pinker tones rather than the yellow-y ones, too. I love adobe with turquoise trim.

Have you tried the Papa Murphy's with Chicken, spinach, a white garlic sauce, artichokes and bacon!~ OMG! Its our favorite hands down...

Congrats on your toilet.. the glitches will egt worked out. Your post was so fun!!! I needed that!

I avoid meat, but I've had there veggie pizza with the cream sauce and artichokes (hold the zucchini). Excellent. I love their pizza!!

I'm considering entering him in the county fair >if< nobody else enters Delaware's. Just to show people what they are - they are a pretty rare breed. It's even hard to find references to them on the internet.

Are you talking about the plastic nuts that screw onto the bottom of the faucet? Maybe a little wd40 for a couple days might help.

Yes - rock solid, and in a location where it's difficult to apply torque or do creative tooling around. I'll try some WD40 next day off. Right now I'm trying to figure out what I did to screw up the waterpressure in not only the front bathroom sink, but also the back bathroom sink..... strange! I checked for leaks, but I don't see any - and the bathtub faucet works just fine (as does the kitchen sink).

Maybe you shook some sediment loose.

Hmmmm.... apparently I need to throw a small jar of vaseline at the sink to fix this issue. (see last post on page)

I love Southwest decor. Could be cuz I'm from the SW. LoL. When I had my house back in ATL, I painted it in all SW colors like those. I'm sure it will look beautiful when you finish it.

I never knew of the cinderblock trick to cool off. How interesting. The chickens look great and that's so cute the rooster is such a mama's boy.

That pizza looks yum!

It must be hot for the chooks to do that. Our neighbour when I was a kid was the second biggest chook farmer in the state. Some chooks used to die in heat waves, and his wife invented a mister system to cool them down, which is still used today. So you were smart to wet their floor that day.

Roo is very pretty, an is going to be even prettier :)

Heh! I have had episodes in the bathroom like that :) But I only play with the drain pipes, not the water pipes! I don't think I'm that adventurous.

Go you! You are smart :)
