Such abundance already - what is jug irrigation? Do you have tiny holes poked in the bottom? and parsley root - seriously, never heard of it. What's it like? I want that jam (yes all of it!) :)

Cloe and the girls are delightful.

You are very kind. It has it's downside - like it being so dry that the weeds (and grass) won't grow.... lol

Marcel gives me the empty jugs from the deep fry oil. I make a puka on the bottom and impale them into the ground with a stake. Then, when I water I fill them up. It waters them slower so the water can soak in better than if I sprayed them. Hopefully soon I'll get of my lazy okole and set up the drip watering system :-)

Great pics! It's all looking good, despite this horrible drought.

I might try the jug irrigation. What's a puka?

And what kind of sheep is Chloe? What a little rascal she is! Herding chickens? Funny.

The strawberry festival looked fun.

She's a breed of Hair Sheep - Barbados. Puka means hole :-) I'll be glad when we get some rain - this has been ridiculous. My blackberries suffered this year - we'll only have enough for fresh eating - not for jam :-(

Thank you Laina - it's become my focus in life - definitely keeps me sane and hopeful :-)

I just looked up Barbados sheep on Wikipedia. I had wanted to get Stan a goat, but the deed restrictions forbid it. However, it says nothing about sheep. Hmmmm.... I wonder if they are lower maintenance than a small pony. She sure is a cutie pie.

I bet they have a source near you. Check with your county recycling center. What county are you in anyway?
