One Big #?*! Storm

Wow - we made the news today with a killer hour or so long storm that did quite a bit of damage around town.  We are blessed to have only had one tree downed (that is a tree along the road on the edge of our property).  Here's a short video of the back yard during the beginning part of the storm.

Just a lil spring shower. No sweat...

LOL!

I can tell by your laughter that you are excited by that storm, as well as scared. Storms do make us feel excited, don't they? Or is that nervous laughter. Either way, your laugh is delightful :)

It was really coming down in bucketfuls, wasn't it? Youyr gutters were havig a hard tome coping!

I am glad that you received fairly minor damage and you must have survived the drive. I hope you stay safe from now on!

You are exactly right - excited AND nervous :-) The water came right up to our door. I was sure it would come inside, but thankfully it receded before that. We were lucky - a lot of people had flooding and some lost their homes (RV's, Mobile Homes) to the river.

Wow, water right up to your door! I'm glad it didn't come inside, and feel for the people and animals it effected.

You are going to have one massive happy green garden this year with all the rain we have had so far.

Yes indeed! We had to harvest all the onions/garlic yesterday because they would have become engorged and cracked with all the wetness. The cucumbers are maturing, and there will be a good crop. If you want I'll bring you some on the 23rd (Marcel has a dentist appt in San Antonio).

Of course I want to see you!

I can always use some extra vegetables too.

Anything for free eh? Don't like to pay for anything from veg's to divorces.

Glad you had no damage. I hope the downed tree doesn't give you much trouble.

I know I'm weird but I love thunder storms.

I like thunder storms and am "manly" enough to admit that they sometimes scare the crap out of me!

Glad to see your post! I heard this morning that you had gotten something like 10 inches of rain, and I was worried...

If the animals start pairing up, two by two, i'd start to worry.

WOW!!! Just a little rain then?
