Weekend Recap

* Well, my long weekend was far from relaxing, but I did get to spend lots of time with the Mister.  I worked beside him Saturday, Sunday, and Monday night at the restaurant.  Once I got aquainted with how he did things - I was okay.   If I had more time behind the line I would seriously rock, but I doubt he'll have the restaurant long enough for me to get too comfortable.  The sale is back on, for now - supposed to close at the end of September.  We've heard this before.....so we aren't holding our breath(s).  All in all - I'd forgotten how energizing it is to be in the kitchen.

* Wow - the level of Hatred directed at Obama by the Right Wing conservatives has skyrocketed.  I'm simply stunned at the level of venom out there.  It would be interesting to cut through the bs and figure out what is driving this.  Even when Bush was at his worst, I never wished him dead (and certainly never meditated on it).  If you read the link comments, your stomach may have the same queesy feeling mine did - - - what's going on here?  Are we entering an age of Christian Militant Extremism?  Seriously - - this type of talk is just scary.  I'm really worried about our country right now.  I honestly think that something is going to blow up in a huge way; just don't know what or how.

* Well, the honey is on his way up to me as we speak.  I get 2 more days with him - then we go back to our old routine of 36 hours together and 132 apart.

Glad you got to spend lots of time with your dear hubby, sorry it was hard work, but as you say, if you got comfortable you could make it seriously rock. Maybe you could open a restaurant near you and give up your sucky job?

I hear you on your worry about your country right now. I really hope it doesn't have serious consequences.

You know, it's funny - both your Mister and my Mr. have restaurants and live in different cities than we do.

I got a call from mom this weekend - "I sure hope you didn't vote for Obama...." and then she starts in. I didn't respond. I told her it was the weekend and I had a stressfull week, so my brain was getting the weekend off. "Don't you worry about the future of our country?" Yes, but not in the way she does. The country will be there when my brain returns from the weekend. Ai ai ai.

We were dating for about 6 months when I decided to move to the middle of nowhere. We are still going strong years later. ooooooh doggies, you can say that again!
