Writer's Block: Memo to Myself

[Error: unknown template qotd]1.) Do not start drinking/partying until you are over 30.  If I had not gotten distracted by all that foolishness I would have stayed in school, gotten my degree, and probably been unemployed now (and without a beautiful daughter or a hippy homestead, or, or, or)
Nevermind younger self - carry on.

Yanno, when I saw this one I was thinking pretty much along those same lines!

Great minds, etc...

Well that's it! Even with all the "wrong" turns we have made in our lives, if there is anything of value in the here and now; it most likely would be gone. So what do you do; work on the future.

If only i'd take my own advice!

Why would you be unemployed now?

If I could talk to my younger self I'd have a list a mile long...

Just due to the economy etc. :-)

I'd only tell me younger self to pay attention in math class and get the tutor she needed. Math is my waterloo - then I will never know, life might have been exactly the same even if I could pass Algebra...

I'd tell myself to have fun more, lighten up (easier said than done at the time), explore more, and tell myself why. I'd tell myself that my dad was lying to me, and the results would cost me years and years of credit card debt.

Also - during the heat wave of '98, I'd tell myself to wait for traffic to die down before driving home with no AC in the car. It effed up my lungs pretty good, and that's permanent.
