Last week Sunday we went to Bussey's Flea Market.  We made about $115 after booth rental ($30), but it was a fun day.  Met some nice people and got rid of some clutter. That's Sierra sitting of the bed of the truck.   We're going to go again soon and see if we can unload more stuff :-)

Yesterday afternoon was spent tending the homestead.  Lots of mowing, weeding, raking, etc.  I took lots of pictures which I plan to share in my journal this coming week.

Here are all bloom pictures.

Miniature rose bush that belongs to my neighbor, but - like many of the things my neighbor has (dog, two cats....) it resides partly on my property.  When I had the Giant Hovering Tree the bush didn't bloom very much at all.  Once I cut down the tree the bush really came to life - it blooms well into summer.

The Mountain Laurels are blooming!.  Oops.... I forgot to trim off the pods from last year.  I wonder if the new blooms felt like they were intruding......

This is what happens when you let Arugula live a long and fulfilling life.  I am going to let it complete its lifecycle and save the seeds for next year.  Arugula gave us some nice salads this winter - I'm grateful.

All dressed up and nobody to flirt with......
Here is Ms. Sexy Pluot - she's in her third year now, and she's ready to mate.  Unfortunately there is no mature male Plum or Pluot to pollinate her.  :-(   I planted a Methley plum this year for her, but he won't bloom until next year.  She'll have to wait.  Until then she can give him come hither looks and wink at him a lot.

I waited almost 3 months before doing a post about my new cell phone service provider.
(previously I used T-Mobile To Go)

My daughter switched to PagePlus on a recommendation from my brother.  She signed up on the unlimited talk/text plan for $39.99 a month(no hidden fees/taxes).  I was extremely skeptical - so I watched how it worked for her.  She reported no problems worth complaining about (in other words - the usual cell phone complaints).

I considered switching, but I'm very frugal.  It had to be worth it - especially since I would need to buy a new phone.
Definitely didn't need the unlimited talk/text at $40 a month

The T-Mobile service was 10 cents a minute (flat rate) - but I used to find deals that amounted to rates as low at 8 cents a minute. If you buy a 1000 minute card (retail $100) the minutes are good for a year (not a problem for me since 1000 minutes used to last me 6 months - though now they last me about 3 months since I talk to hubby everyday).

The PagePlus service is 5 cents a minute if you buy a $50 card (1000 minutes).  I can find deals at Callingmart - and if I can also find a Callingmart coupon code I save a little more (last card I paid $47.04 for - so .047 a minute).

P.S - IF YOU USE CALLINGMART to purchase phone cards and/or refill minutes - let me know (we can swap emails for the referral credit)

I decided it was worth the cost of a new phone to switch - so I got the new service December 12th.

1000 minutes lasted 3 months which amounts to $16.65 a month (not including cost of phone).

The phone was $56.00 (including tax/shipping) - it should last at least a year - so it depreciation is $4.67 a month

So, my monthly charge for average usage (333 minutes a month) including everything (there are no added fees/taxes) is  $21.32

The service is wonderful - I rarely have a dropped call, connection quality and volume is great.
My only gripe is that every time I dial a call an automated voice comes on to tell me my balance - I haven't bothered to see if I can turn that feature off.
