Holiday Weekend Wrapup.

*  Sorry if I didn't reply to as many posts as I usually do - I did read though all of them though.  3 1/2 days of posts was so many! :-)

*  WTF with Palin?  My theory is that someone found out something and said - "if you resign, it'll never come out".

*  I love Michael Jackson as much as the next person; however, I think his death is getting too much media coverage - - and I think his family seems a little greedy and strange (California should change a law so he can be buried at Neverland?) - and Al Sharpton - Plueeze..... we don't need a day of rememberance for Michael.  He was a pop icon - not Martin Luther King or Mother Theresa.

* I had a lovely time in my North Padre Island Home with my super-terrific husband (stil wondering what I did to deserve that awsomeness).  I hated to leave.  Now that I'm used to it there, it seems like home too.  Sunday evening I treated my friends Dieter and Karin to dinner at Marcel's (well, I left the tip - - my husband comp'd it).  Great food and service - I can see why the restaurant is rated so high.  It was the first time I've eaten there.  Karin and Dieter and I had a nice meal and conversation - I really like them so much.  I wish they lived here permanently.

*  The only downside to this holiday weekend was coming home to a pigsty.  It was disappointing.  At least the chickens got fed & watered though - so there is that.  I did a little cleanup before work (though I got home at 10:15 and had to leave for work at 10:45) - tonight I'll do a little before bed (another hour to pick up) - tomorrow I work overtime and have to be in at 9am, but if I make myself sleep early - I can get up and spend another hour.  At least it will be halfway presentable when Marcel comes Tuesday evening.
