Blackberries, Veal, and Yogurt
May. 4th, 2009 01:15 pmI have a fridge chock full of salad greens and Swiss Chard from the garden. I am going down to Marcel this "weekend" (Tuesday evening to Thursday morning) and will bring him a bunch (along with a couple dozen eggs). I also am harvesting blackberries now. Sooooo gooood!!!!
I'm trying to find a local source for pasture raised veal for Marcel to consider. I know it's none of my business what is on his menu, but I feel obligated to at least present it to him. I hope I can find something close or that his local middleman can bring in (that's if he even will go for it as I'm sure it would be on the pricey side).
I've been really worn out the last few days. I think it's just the season because I really don't feel sick - just tired. I have to remember that I'm getting "older" and can't go go go like I used to.
I'm going to try making my own yogurt. I like the the Wallaby brand, and it's not easy to find in my area. I lurve yogurt, but I can't eat the supermarket stuff. God only knows that kind of garbage is in there to keep it from spoiling and to thicken it.
