Does this make me a slacker?? :-)
Feb. 17th, 2009 10:38 amI just called in "I'm not coming in" at work! OMG - I haven't done that in years!!
I have a new supervisor; I hope she doesn't think I'm a flake - "Hello Nancy, this is Dorie - I wanted to let you know I'm not going to come in today" When she asked me if I was okay I said "Oh yes, I'm fine - don't worry" lol
We're not that busy, so they can do without me - so I don't feel too guilty.
I just woke up this morning and got going doing the things I need to do, and next thing I know it's 10:15am and I have to be at work in an hour - and I'm not even close to being where I want to be getting ready for tomorrow. I get home at 9:30pm - and Marcel will be here at 9:30am - just not enough time.
Now I can relax and (even though I may feel a teeny tiny bit guilty) I can get all the things done I intended to - then have a good night sleep.
Only down side is I just used up 9 hours of my personal time (which is about 30% of the time I am given for the whole year....yikes)
There's no question in my mind it's worth it (or I wouldn't have done it)
