The New Tent
Jan. 15th, 2009 08:47 am* It was a 51 can walk this morning (walked the Mirror L. Only 45 minutes because I got a late start. In one or two more walks I will have two 33 gallon trash cans stuffed with crushed cans. I really have to turn them in or donate them or something.
I found a new tent. It's not as cool as my last one, but it is compact and very light (3 pounds). This one is only good for an overnighter in good weather. You can't sit up in it - and if it was especially windy or rainy - well..... It was inexpensive though ($40) and made by a good company. I went ahead and set it up quickly yesterday evening (so I wouldn't be unpleasantly surprised if there were parts missing etc.) - easy as pie.
Out of the box

Setup in about 5 minutes by myself.

I'm 5'2" so this works - a tall person would be cramped.

Broke down and rolled up without too much trouble - back into the bag.

Best part - it fits in the bottom cubby of my overnight backpack (the tent is smaller than my sleeping bag!)
