Best laid plans
Oct. 12th, 2008 11:12 amI hit the snooze 3x times this morning because I stayed up late last night trying to figure out Last.FM. It's operational, but I can't say for sure I completely understand it. (I put the widget thingie on my profile page)
Today cannot be wasted - much work to accomplish so I can go to Austin MakersFaire this coming weekend without guilt as Wednesday (other day off) I'm supposed to do something with P2 (though if he doesn't email me with a plan by Monday - it won't be happening).
I did the long walk this morning - I call it the BIG HOOK because it's in the shape of a hook (or a "J" but it would be a backwards "J" so instead I use hook because that could go either way.... and it's sad that I give things like this a second thought). I start from home (bottom of the hook) walk down around Potthast and up Ferryboat road to the last mailbox before the main road - then I turn around and walk back. It can only be done on a day when I have the time because the walk is over an hour (and you can't take a shortcut). 1 Hour 17 Minutes 538 calories burned 118 AvgHbpm. I could have worked harder, but I really just wanted to enjoy myself. I listened to the Diane Rehm show Friday News Roundup Hour 1, an Aspire, and an Alan Watts podcast.
Plan today was to finish the winter garden, but my friend Bea just this second called - so it looks like I'm going to the San Marcos Outlet Mall and Sams. Maybe this afternoon......
