Brainstorming on paper is fine, but I have too many chicken scratch sheets everywhere and I can't keep it organized, so I'll keep track here on LJ where I can put them in memories for reviewing etc.

This winter I want to hit the ground running preparing for 2008 season.  I did okay last winter, but I could have done so much more.  I just didn't have a plan.

New Garden Bed Preparations:
*  Garden Shed Bed - This will be for Sorrel in the Spring
*  Garden Perimeter Bed Far side - This will be for perennial Herb Plantings (to attract beneficials)
*  Circle Bed around Bird Nest Pole - This will be for annual herbs.

Install Electric Fence around middle section of property

Create compound for chickens:
Looking at the area where the compost bins are now because there is shelter and shade - it's close to water, and far away from dogs.  Thinking of modifying large dog house for coop and using dog kennel panels for the enclosure - putting a roof on the panels (with translucent panels).  Compound should be ready for spring.  Would like to start with 25 babies and give away extras once they are half grown - I would like 10 full grown hens as the flock.

SHOULD ORDER THESE IN NOVEMBER
NOTE: MAY NEED TO ORDER FROM OTHER COMPANIES TO GET ALL THE VARIEITES I NEED (NOTICE THEY DON'T HAVE PINEAPPLE SAGE WHICH I REALLY WANT IN THE PERENNIAL BENEFICIAL BEDS)
