Putting this slideshow together made me tear up - 2008 was one awesome year!!!
I hope 2009 will be able to live up it :-)

p.s - images seem to be repeating themselves on my computer; not sure if it's my computer or Photobucket.  Let me know if they repeat too much on yours.  I may end up having to move my pictures to a different server.

Wow, can you grow veggies or what?

Aaaw, your little chickies are so cute!

And your daughter came back!

You are so active, all the things you do :)

Your veggies are great. Nice year.

Yes they do repeat, but it doesn't seem to be a problem for me any rate.

Some of those pics were probably taken before we friended each other. All the pictures were posted in my journal sometime in 2008. I have to get going if I want to start tomatoes and peppers. Usually I just get them from the nursery though - I don't have much started these from seed and beefing them up for planting outside.

So when do you plant Tomatoes & peppers out? I have to wait until May 15th.. at least.. and I usually get those 2 at the organic nursery, too... or a friend gives us a few heirlooms he starts...Do you have your greens outside all winter? lettuce right now? wow...

yep, greens all winter.

Tomatoes & Peppers really need to be started indoors now.
Tomatoes can go out in March if you have a good way to protect them from an unexpected frost. Peppers (and pretty much everything else except Okra and field peas) can go out on April 15.

This is what I love most about where I live - it's (almost) perfect for vegetable gardening.

yes, it really really is! Maybe I'd never leave if I came there... although once I was in CS with Jack in mid May and I thought I'd die fro the heat and humidity.. hahah I'm a woosy when it comes to humidity...!

I need a big ole greenhouse to have my greens in winter.. but at least it's unheated so no extra expense.. and it's working.. so far so good!
