Happy Day #1

I was tagged by [livejournal.com profile] krisann  to post something that made me happy for eight days straight.  Always the team player - I will oblige :-)

Last night I had my monthly bread baking night.  That in itself tends to induce happiness (I know, I'm easy.....)

but

This morning I made French Toast from some of the fresh bread and shared it with my daughter.  She had hers with butter and maple syrup. I had mine with Mexican Creme (not so much of a sweet tooth today).

Oh, and my daughter made me a patchwork purse from some scrap flannel fabric and an old pillow case she found in my sewing room.  It has a pocket inside - and it's reversible.  I took it to work with me today.

Darn, that's two things - - did I break the rules? :-)

French toast from homemade bread is wonderful! None of those soggy limp slices for me (and you!)

That's wonderful you have so many good things happening at your place! Your daughter is very creative. I wonder where she got that from?
