The Dog Days - Helping Hand (& other stuff)

* Someone please tell my why THIS SONG isn't a hit?  I couldn't even buy the download at iTunes because they don't even know this group (you can download it free from Last.FM though).

* I got to work and pulled up next to an SUV with a homemade bumper sticker scotch taped to their back window saying
"LIBERALS: FRENCH FOR COWARDS"  This is what I have to deal with........

* Tomorrow I go to the dentist.  I'd like to do something else to make it a day, but I better get back home and get some stuff done.  
 
* and finally - - borrowed from madamealexis  - when I saw this they heard me laughing in Austin

I love the ambient music and melodic chanting (I have the Tara Mantras CD - it makes me smile).

I think I like that Dog Days group because they remind me of Vetiver. I like that acoustical modern folk Indie music. I hate it when a group like that goes main stream (Bright Eyes, Foo Fighters, etc. etc.).

Isn't Vetiver the group that is connected with Joanna Newsome? I think she is SO Great... !

I'm not sure. I found out about Vetiver from listening to Peter Salet. I really enjoy that Indie-Folk type of music.

(to be honest though.....I don't really care too much for Joanna Newsome - I know you really like her, but her voice is difficult for my ears - sorry!) :-)

hahaha Oh, I know.. no insult... Jack thinks her voice sounds like screeching. I love her harp and lyrics and the whimsical quality of her voice.. it iS very unusual and I wouldn't expect anyone to like her so much! I have weird tastes...
