*  This morning's Walk podcast:  Aspire Podcast: 12/10/06  -  I like the host Gregory Penn even though he is a tiny bit eccentric.  Quote I took away from this 'We choose our joys and sorrows long before we experience them" Kahlil Gibran

*  My daughter called me last night to tell me she plans to come home in November.  This is good news, but I remain cautiously optimistic since this is not the first time she's made these plans.  I will once again need to rearrange my priorities personally and financially which I'm glad to do - any kind of change, however good, is stressful though - so I am already preparing myself :-)

*  I've turned myself onto another musician which I hope will end this America kick I've been on for several months.  She's Angelique Kidjo and I guess the genre she fits into is African Beat or African Reggae....I'm not sure, but I can't stop listening to it.  I sometimes wonder if these music binges need to be addressed with therapy..... :-)

*  I was so wishing that Hillary Clinton woudn't make her Convention speech about her - - another hope dashed :-(    Halfway through her speech I found myself rolling my eyes and groaning.  I officially dislike her now.

*  Today I'm devoting myself to the house and maybe a quick trip to the grocery.  I am not happy it's a soggy mess outside, because I have soooo much to do to get the fall/winter garden going!!

WHEW.. my comment vanished.. will rewrite. hahah

Music IS the therapy:) I love angelique...

I know what you mean about your daughter's visit. Remember when their needs where what our lives revolved around? ha! no more.. so it's quite an adjustment to have them here again.. and my darlin' is bringing her boyfreind for 5 of the days.. in our little house.. yikes!

I haven't liked Hilary for a while.. sell out...don't trust her a bit. Not sure if I trust any of the politicos.. 'cept maybe Kucinich.

HAve fun doing your garden.. lucky you to have a winter garden outside!

I watched Hillary last night. I think she did a wonderful job of selling herself. Wait a minute ... who's running on the Democratic ticket? hehe ... yeah. Oh, but I can't wait to listen to her better half tonight. That man can read a phone book and I'd be completely enthralled.

Well, you definitely deserve some time off after the 12 hour days you've been working!

I'm hoping for the best for you and your daughter - you've got to miss her something aweful.

I also wished Hillary's speech wasn't going to be egocentric, but it was better than I expected. (wasn't expecting much?). I also do not trust her.

I'd love to hear what you are planning for the fall/winter garden! My wish list has beets, kale, turnips (???), squash, zuccini, onions, and I'd like to try fennel, lettuce, and brocolli (if I can find some started.) I've got to finish the bed, though. Lots of work, but so worth it.

I can't wait for my iPod to get here...

I have been a long-time fan of Kahlil Gibran :) What he said is so true ~

You must be looking forward to your daughter coming home. It is said to be a very stressful thing on parents when their teenage/young adult kids keep moving in and out. I hope it all woks out and that both of you are very happy.
