Rooster's First Crow :-)

A strange strangled crowing woke me up at 6am this morning.  I knew what it was and jumped out of bed, grabbed my camera, and headed out to the coop.  There I sat for about 30 minutes waiting to catch one of Roo's first crows on video.  I really need to get a life.

hahahahaha that is great! Congratulations! Those first crows are so funny! He'll be cock-a-doodle-do-ing with the best of them soon! (altho' mine never quite developed that rhythm...)

Thanks. He's so grown up now - it's kind of sad, but he's still friendly.

I don't know - your rooster is far more interesting than that bloke that contacted you with just - hey...

The girls didn't seem to pay him much attention though. He'll have to step up his game.

I know - he's definitely going to have to be more of a man. They think he's one of the girls still.

Haha - maybe. There is a chicken at the organic gardening center I shop at who crows almost nonstop - everytime I'm there he's at it. Hopefully it won't be that bad, but I won't mind too much I guess (might have to move the coop further away from the house though).

LoL. He sounds like a teenager with the cracking voice. :P

That's awesome. He's growing up.

That's cute. And you HAVE a life - a far better life than many others :)

You may be celebrating his crow now, but later on in the cold mornings, you may not be so appreciative!

Still and all, congratulations, Roo!
