The Garden Early July 2007

Pretty recent pictures of the garden

This is Asparagus (yard long) beans in the back of tee-pee and Malabar Spinach in front.  The Malabar is supposed to grow up the ropes, but I don't think it's aware of that.....


This is Okra which grows so well - I'm actually learning how to cook it so I won't gag because I like this plant to much.


In the foreground is Thai Lemon Basil - grows really good, and I've harvested it so many times already.  There is a parsley stuck in there with them somewhere too.  To the right is New Zealand Spinach and in the background you can see Okra and recently harvested Garlic.



This is a Daikon radish that sprouted voluntarily after the other Daikons were long past harvested.  I didn't think it would do anything due to the heat, but it grew to a large size and was delicious.  This could be due to the cooler than normal temperatures in the beginnin
