Random This & That

*  FedEx emailed - my Ipod is at my house waiting for me.....SQUEE!!!!  Now I just want to go home, but if I do I'll lose my OT I worked this week.

*  I finished painting my hallway - I'll post an entry with pics this weekend.

*  I think Jesse Jackson is just suffering from Obama-Envy.

*  I am signing up for my vehicle insurance with Progressive - it's 2X the coveraga at over $100 less than the current quote for renewal from my current company!  I'm kind of annoyed with Allstate for ripping me off.

* The garden responded immediately to the rain we've had. I guess it's really been starved for water in spite of my watering.  I need to get the drip system put back online - this will help.

*  Is Demonoid legal?  I don't want the feds to beat my door down - especially since my neighbor is leasing me his connection.

Out.....

i guess Jackson's son is furious with him. I really think you're right, (some) of this older generation of civil rights leaders are jealous of Obama's success.

I've never met anyone who was happy with Allstate.

A real rain just makes all the difference, doesn't it? I can water & water ...with RAINWATER, even.. and still, a really drenching rain is just what it takes to perk everything up!

I know that people are enjoying calling Jackson jealous, mainly because it's taking the easy way out here, and in most people's eyes, astonishingly enough, Obama can do nor say no wrong, and is being placed on a pedestal that can barely hold him.

Jackson is an amazing man, and he has a right to his opinion - it's unfortunate he was mic'd, and he should have known better, but it's not the first time a public person has been caught saying something he shouldn't have. Still, he has a right to say it. He should know about people talking down to black people, he fought for black people his whole life. Obama, for the record, is mulatto, not black. He may not be the voice of the black population because of this, but he is being held aloft as some sort of black saviour. I don't know, the whole situation is baffling to me, and the reaction to Jackson is over the top, truly.

But jealousy? Well, I respect that opinion, I do, but I think it's way off base. And easier than looking at the entire situation.
